Yes! Our miniature pieces are made out of paper. They are designed, cut, colored, and formed one by one in our home studio. I apply various techniques to give each flower a unique look.
Our quilling projects, jewelry or framed pieces, are also made from paper. Strips of paper are rolled to form produce different shapes. They may be glued to each other or on their edge to be mounted for display.
Our jewelry is suitable for everyday wear but we have some recommendations to keep them looking as pristine as possible:
For jewelry with Sterling silver or gold fill:
As a general rule of thumb, your jewelry should be the last thing you put on, and the first thing you take off. If treated with love and care, these pieces of wearable art will last for years to come.
Water has always been one of our major considerations ever since we started. Our jewelry are designed to be water-resistant, and are made to at least withstand mild weather conditions. Most of our miniature botanical creations are permanently encased in glass pendants to protect them from natural elements.
The rest of our jewelry line that are not sealed in glass, are protected by multiple layers of non-toxic, acid-free, water-resistant finish. They are hand brushed to coat every little corner, but at the same time retain the lovely details.
All these steps are made to ensure that your jewelry is going to be safe if you get caught in the rain or get splashed by water, but we still recommend to keep your piece from prolonged water exposure to help the integrity of the seal and metal last longer.
